2021 MOTM Men's Retreat

*** Due to the rise in COVID cases over the last couple months, as well as the loss of our brother and DOM Michael Cook, the MOTM planning committe decided it was in the best interest of everyone that we cancel this year's retreat and look forward to having a retreat in 2022. Man on the Mountain Men's Retreat is the result of a tri-associational partnership between the Mother Lode, Delta Valley, and Central Valley Baptist Associations.  Spearheaded by Man on the Mountain Men's Ministries of the Mother Lode Baptist Association (MLBA), we seek to provide all participants with an engaging and enriching getaway filled with worship, God's word, and fellowship with other men.

For obvious reasons, we are so excited to be back and offer another great retreat experience for all men.  This year's theme is "Koinonia", and through our speakers and activities, we'll learn about the great value of Christian fellowship, and how it needs to be experienced beyond just Sunday mornings if we want the Church to be an accurate reflection of what we read about in God's word.

This year's retreat will offer some new things along with some of the old. We're excited to be meeting at a new location - Heavenly Hills Christian Camp & Retreat Center in Twain Harte, CA. Just east of Sonora along Hwy 108, we look forward to enjoying the great facilities in the midst of God's beautiful creation that surround the camp.

Despite the change in location, we are committed to offer a retreat experience that has been a consistent focus for MOTM. Over the course of the weekend, men will be engaged in God's word through devotions and practical and insightful messages from local pastors. They will also be able to enjoy the many amenities  and outdoor recreation opportunities that the camp facility has to offer, including rock climbing, hiking, horseshoes, archery, basketball, and volleyball, just to name a few. 

Godly men are men who worship, and our retreat's worship leader will once again be Nathan Gardner from First Baptist Church, Patterson. He always brings a great mixture of contemporary and traditional favorites to usher all men into the presence of Jesus through our times of corporate worship.

We're expecting another great retreat in 2021 as God meets with us, speaks to us, and grows us up together as Christ-like men, sons, brothers, fathers, husbands, leaders. And through Christian fellowship and community, God will accomplish more than we could ever imagine!

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

We're also pleased to announce that registration fees are lower than expected. This year's retreat will have an early registration fee $160/person that is valid until October 1st. After October 1st and up until the first day of the camp, the registration fee will go up to $175/person. This price will include room and board for 3 days, 2 nights, as well as 5 meals and snacks, access to all the amenities earlier mentioned plus many more, and a MOTM Retreat t-shirt.

A deposit of $80 per person is to be paid by September 8th, 2021.
